Her contemporary young adult debut When It All Syncs Up (Annick Press, Spring 2023) has been awarded grants by the Toronto Arts Council, the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts. Maya Ameyaw was born and raised in Toronto. She previously worked as a bookseller and studied sociology at York University. Maya works in community arts and has curated and edited several mental health themed anthologies for youth and adults. This course is hosted by InkWell Workshops. Participants willĪlso learn the step-by-step process of acquiring a literary agent and their Literary magazines, journals, and independent publishers. Will learn best practices for preparing work for submission directly to Non-fiction essays, poems, short story collections and novels. Each week, we will discuss theĭifferent paths to publication for various forms of writing, including Strategies for getting their work published.
